do you mean referer? of referee? there's no word refefer. anyway, referer means "yang memberi tahu/yang mengajak", while referee means "wasit".

there's 2 term for "wasit". the 1st one is umpire, and 2nd one is referee. what's the different? well, you can say that umpire is a "wasit yang duduk/wasit yang diam". umpire leads a small field game such as badminton, tennis, and volleyball.

referee is a "wasit yang bebas", referee leads a large field game and fighting competition such as football, basketball, boxing, proffesional wrestling, etc.
