The Crusader tank, produced in a range of versions, equipped front-line British armoured divisions up until about half-way through the Second World War; it saw action on the Western Front and in Africa and Asia. Firepower was often decidedly inferior compared to that of its German counterparts. Nevertheless the Crusaders, where properly coordinated in groups, often obtained good results, especially in Africa.

It is also equipped with internal fire protection gear and additional machine-guns.

The aim was to build a vehicle to supply ammunition, food and materials – stored in the holds of transport ships – to invading troops occupying beachheadson enemy soil immediately after landing. The DUKW offered good navigating qualities and could move well off-road too, which, combined with its high load capacity, enabled it to perform its logistic role to the full. In the post-war years, it was widely used by USA’s allies all the way through to the 70s, including civil protection assignments.

Once off the ground, thanks to the rotation of its engines, it flies like a normal plane, reaching the speed and range hitherto unheard of for a traditional “chopper”. The V-22 is set to replace the old CH-46s as a transport and assault aircraft for the Marines, and in future, it will be used for the Special Forces’ aviation too.

NECA announces new BATSU Gears of War figures!

Sure, we've got our regular Gears of War figures and they're awesome, but now things are getting Batsu.

In Japanese, the symbol "batsu," like the English 'X' is used to show something wrong. Like when you get a strike on Family Feud, that's a batsu. For NECA, it's a whole new way of experiencing some of your favorite characters and lines, and we're starting with the three most popular Gears of War combatants in limited production runs (translation: get 'em while you can).

The highly-stylized Batsu versions of Dominic stand over 5" tall, are poseable at the neck and shoulders and designed with urban vinyl in mind. They also have the Lancer accessory, and you'll know them when you see them because of the window box packaging.

Once again, these are limited runs, which means they won't be around forever. They hit stores next month, so make sure to keep an eye out, and of course they'll be available online at our Amazon storefront.
