Noesis Solutions, the partner simulation innovation to manufacturers in automotive, aerospace, and other engineering-intense industries, announced that it has released Optimus 10.15. With Optimus 10.15, Noesis Solutions introduces a new global evolutionary algorithm: Covariance Matrix Adaptation Evolution Strategy (CMA-ES). It is perfectly suited for high-dimensional, non-linear functions, requiring only limited information to be entered up-front. The fast CMA-ES method efficiently deals with computationally intensive simulations such as CFD and FEA.
Picture Plot is a new feature in Optimus 10.15 that allows users to visually keep track of model alterations during an automated simulation campaign, executed as part of Design of Experiments (DOE) or design optimization. The screenshots provide additional graphic insight into design configurations and corresponding performances.
In addition Optimus supports extended Picture Plot visualization capabilities through its VCollab Interface. The interface allows users to further inspect (and rotate, etc.) the simulation model by opening the CAX file in the VCollab software package.
