"slang" I believe this word came across when I was in high school reading the Oxford dictionary..so it's valid and I think the term is what we've been deminizing all day long, its word means "another way of saying"

For "slack" I couldn't agree that this would came familiar with slang....as far as I know, the word "slack" is used as: Come on, gimme some slack wouldcha, mite? I think it means give him more comfort in his specific request.
