MBT systems have been installed in hotel, casino, cruise liner, resort, convention center, sports stadium, airport and catering facility, operations in more than 35 countries. MBT provides inventory management systems and central purchasing and supplier integration solutions under the brand CHECK for hotels worldwide.
Founded in Sydney, Australia during 1990, Moreton Bay Technology specializes exclusively in delivering inventory solutions to the global hospitality industry, particularly areas directly impacting food and beverage profits such as inventory, receiving, purchasing, recipe costing, menu analysis, and usage control. While the primary business is the development, manufacture and sale of inventory software, MBT also maintains an implementation, training and support desk service.
From the beginning MBT marketed its products globally, building an international network of independent resellers that has brought exposure to all continents. In turn, this has assisted product development to expand the international capabilities of all products and integrate them into the procurement workflow of all non-food & beverage departments. In 1999 MBT leveraged its core inventory engine to expand the company’s product offerings. The growing product line meets the needs of three primary hospitality operations - restaurants, food & beverage chains and hotels. In late 1999 MBT formulated an Internet strategy that incorporates e-Business, e-Procurement and Centralized Purchasing.
In 2004 MBT released its new system SCM, to help facilitate with supply chain management in the hospitality industry.
