Capirossi: MotoGP akan Membosankan

VERWOOD - Pembalap veteran asal Italia Loris Capirossi menyatakan jika MotoGP musim depan akan berjalan membosankan. Ini terjadi setelah kebijakan menggunakan satu jenis ban.

Setiap motor di arena MotoGP musim depan akan menggunakan satu jenis ban, yakni Bridgestone. Musim 2008, Bridgestone bersaing dengan Michelin. Tapi, Bridgestone lebih dipilih para pembalap untuk motornya.

Rider Suzuki ini meyakini akan ada kebosanan dalam ajang balap motor empat-tak 800 cc ini. Capirossi menilai persaingan akan semakin ramai kalau regulasi seperti musim-musim sebelumnya, menyangkut soal penggunaan ban dipertahankan.

"Tidak akan ada kesempetan di musim depan. Penggunaan satu jenis ban memang tidak akan mengubah apa pun. Setiap pembalap masih akan berusaha menjadi yang tercepat, tapi saya pikir akan membosankan," jelas Capirossi seperti dilansir autosport, Rabu (10/12/2008).

Prestasi Capirossi di MotoGP memang cenderung menurun. Capirex hengkang dari Ducati pada beberapa waktu lalu setelah mengalami kemandekan prestasi.

Di Suzuki, pembalap 35 tahun ini juga belum bisa memberikan kontribus optimal, seperti halnya Chris Vermeulen. Musim lalu, Capirex hanya duduk di posisi 10 dengan poin 111.
