as an indonesian, i think the bahasa is much easier than english. but why most indonesian people prefer to learn english seriously than bahasa? that's because english is an international language. if you want to speak to a foreigner you must speak english.
english is a must. it's kinda difficult at first, but as soon as you're used to it, it's a piece of cake /heh /heh.

You'll understand a Japanese who speak English better than a native English speaker. That's because we always speak English with Indonesian sound, and we get used to it. When you hear a foreigner speak Indonesian you'll also realize that their sound is different but still understandable right?
It's vice versa.
prefer to what?
study ?
i think english is widely accepted as international language than bahasa
normal conversation ?
i prefer using bahasa indonesia than english since we are indonesian
and it's not neccessary to speak english since all indonesian know bahasa indonesia

Yes, that's right /no1
In my holidays to Australia last year, i found it really hard to understand what were they saying. Sure Australian people speak English fluently. Even a simple words is heared like a difficult word...

is it true? i've heard a japs speak english, and they're terrible to understand. that's because they said "Ice" as "Aisu", "Coffee" as "Kohii", an "Vacation" as "bake-shon". can you understand that? even an englishmen found it really difficult. they generally think those're their original japanese words, and not some english-derived words.
Yes, that's right

an Australian spoke english with a unique accent. their accent is a bit different than original british accent. off course you will find it hard, but not as hard as Japanese's one
Yeah you're right Mr. Yuu... /heh
For example, they only asked me with a simple question, "Have you been here before?"
But it likes that they asked me a difficult question, because they prounounce is so fluently... /heh
Heck yeah. English is the first language in the world. But i didn't know that in indonesia, student try to speak english. That's just so wrong. In indonesia, you should speak Indonesia not english. Except if english were the official language in Indonesia. And guess what even they speak english, i bet it still kinda hard to understand because you didn't speak english everytime. And also you all should think even English the first language in the world, it's not an official language in Indonesia. So i'm not agreed with that statement
so that's why student prefer english to study.. it's all because they doesn't allready know it... besides it's the international language...
want to hav a foreign chick? at least learn some english.. hehehe...
Ow ic. Yeah that's right. That's right we are studying English but don't forget the Indonesian for sure. Don't be like a people who hate their own language
